Carolina Herrera Spring 2012 RTW

I love the spring feel of Carolina Herrera’s spring 2012 collection. Your eye seems to flow easily from one design to the next.

I like the bird fabric design and the geometric multi-strap belts.

Oscar de la Renta Spring 2012 RTW

I am mystified by the sheer elegance and fun of Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2012 RTW collection.

I love the contrast of the natural looking making up against the bright and exciting clothes. I think the frizz-curl hair adds to the confidence of the lady who wears this collection, she’s not afraid to be different and unique and it suits her.

Thula Sindi

Thula Sindi is a local fashion designer from South Africa. He has been designing for 6 years.

What I love about Thula’s designs is they’re not typically African, in colour, shape or pattern. They are of world-class standards and have that international feel to them. His designs are unique and beautiful, lots of attention to detail. I imagine myself wearing this collection.

Thula signed a deal with Edgars and his clothes can now be bought straight from the Edgars stores located at Sandton City, Eastgate, Melrose Arch, V&A Waterfront and Pavillion.

Even though his clothes are in a big retail store now he reassures that the quality will remain and that he actually checks every piece. Thula says, “Shoppers can expect sophistication and quality”. He also says that the pieces found in stores are 80% of his current collection.

I can’t wait to get my hands on some of these gorgeous pieces!

Jason Wu Spring 2012

I first saw the Jason Wu collection the other day while watching Video Fashion and loved the style and look of his clothes.

Jason Wu’s designs depict a modern women and emphasis the beauty within and without. This is also shown in his excellent coutoure quality.

His collection inspirations come from his travels to Asia, Europe and Latin America. Other influences art the works of Charles James and Jacques Fath and the classic photography of Richard Avedon plus eclectic artworks.

Some words from Jason, “I have always found a woman’s body to be especially beautiful ever since taking my first life drawing class as a teenager. I was drawn to fashion design as it is my passion to create garments that enhance and flatter the female form.”

Here’s a peek at his beautiful Spring 2012 Collection:

The Burberry Prorsum Spring 2012 RTW Collection is so interesting and looks like it has a story to tell. The wearer of these clothes, to me, would be someone who has depth, is arty & creative. Chloe' Spring 2012 RTW

The Chloe' Spring 2012 RTW Collection is sublime, yet again. I absolutely love the Chloe range and was excited and nervous to see Clare Waight Keller's first show, since taking over the reins from Hannah MacGibbon. I'm so glad that is still has that Chloe' feel and look!

Want, want, want! Fashion inspired right now xx
